Stars $50 6max
UTG folds, next player($95) makes it $2, I($85) have J /images/graemlins/heart.gifT /images/graemlins/heart.gif.

The little read I have on him is that he is a semi loose very aggressive player. We have only played maybe 15 hands together and I got my stack on my first hand when I got KK and busted somebody.

Do you call here? What about 78s, 46s, and other smallish connectors? Would you rather call with a hand like 78s or JTs?

My favorite hand. With position or to defend my blinds, I will always play a suited JT or T9 to see if I can flop a monster-slayer. However when you play these you have to know when to fold them and be able to get away from flops that hit but not hard enough to merit making loose calls of villain's bets.

I call this evry day of the weak, I play 67s in raised pot but in general not lower.

I rather 78s than JTs.
If I hit TTx or JJx then I can often be against AT or AJ, but its not as likely on an 88x or 77x board that he has one of those cards.

Ill Play JTs almost always unless its raised too much. I love this hand because you always seem to get a great draw aginst a big pair. JTs or 9Ts are playable, but i like to stay away from 89 or 78s on raised pots because AK or QK can kill you if you hit a low straight...Plus I hate having 78 when the flop is 678 or something, you always get into trouble with these.

I found it interesting that suited connectors are a slight favorite over JJ when up against AA.

Of course, this is over 5 cards, not just on the flop. In general, if the preflop raise is small relative to your stack sizes and you are in position relative to the preflop raiser, then calling with suited connectors looks ok to me. So this hand looks good: it's only a 4x BB raise and you have position with a 170 BB stack against a raiser that has you covered.

Things I look out for:

Does the Villain have real trouble laying down AA/KK post-flop? Is he married to overpairs? TPTK?

If the answer is yes to any of these, and we both have 200+BB, yes, I call 67s and up, maybe even hands like 97s and 810s.
