Sorry CSC, couldn't figure out how to get the stack sizes included using the converter.

I'm gambling a bit more at the moment since I want to go out and meet up with my friends, this is the last tournament of the night (dise 50K) which started late. I might make this move anyways, but wanting to go out made it the no brainer at the time.

Sorry to be a mega spoiler, but he can't miss. You can only win if he hits a 5, but that is more like you hitting than him missing in my book.

There are many many blank cards that would make his 6 high the best hand. Sorry to be a mega spoiler.

He only has to dodge 8 hearts + 3 sixes + 3 aces to take down an all-in pot with 6-high. 6-high! A deuce or trey creates a split pot though.

I have the second nut low. Unimproved, the only hand I can beat is 52, the hand he held. If he didn't make a straight or flush I would have won with the second nut low. In many situations the second nut low isn't even going to be better than the nut low when taking five cards from seven to make the best high hand.

Please tell me you can see the (near) beauty in this.

A commendable effort, but here is hoe the pros do it:

FullTiltPoker Game #174833546: Table Kennedy (6 max) - $50/$100 - No Limit
Hold'em - 17:44:44 ET - 2005/08/04

Seat 1: Mike Matusow ($8,499.50)
Seat 6: hotntot ($11,498.50)

hotntot posts the small blind of $50
Mike Matusow posts the big blind of $100

The button is in seat #6

*** HOLE CARDS ***

hotntot raises to $300
Mike Matusow calls $200

*** FLOP *** [2s 6d Kd]

Mike Matusow bets $600
hotntot calls $600

*** TURN *** [2s 6d Kd] [6s]

Mike Matusow checks
hotntot bets $1,000
Mike Matusow calls $1,000

*** RIVER *** [2s 6d Kd 6s] [Ts]

Mike Matusow checks
hotntot checks

*** SHOW DOWN ***

hotntot shows [5d 3c] (a pair of Sixes)

Mike Matusow mucks

hotntot wins the pot ($3,799.50) with a pair of Sixes

*** SUMMARY ***

Total pot $3,800 | Rake $0.50
Board: [2s 6d Kd 6s Ts]
Seat 1: Mike Matusow (big blind) mucked

Now that really is a thing of beauty

nh Ekky. I recall one time long time ago I think in a SNG where I missed a draw but bet the river because I didnt think the other guy had anything. He cCALLED and I actually won with 8 high. Looked at the hand history and he had also missed a straight a draw. Apparently he thought there was a card yet to come. Needless to say, he was a fish.

*Preface: This post is a terrible attempt to cover up my stupidity*

I just want to point out that in my retarded world we play with an 8th card called the ocean. Since there are that many cards 3 cards higher than board pair must pop or board must double pair or trip with 2 cards higher than board. Sorry didn't realize you were playing non-triple bonus hold'em with just 7 cards. What a lame game. As an aside yes this is a brilliant hand in the 7 card version, oh yeah and I'm available to play heads up but you better strike while the iron is hot cause I apparently can't even read the board anymore. *cries*

Oh and I love the Mike Matusow hand, that was clearly a value check with 5 high on the river.
