This is upsetting. Until recently, he was very much a constant in my life.

[/ QUOTE ]I basically stopped watching the news, but when I did, it was always ABC. Jennings was always composed, and concise. He wasn't bitch-like, like Rather is, and he seemed to have more content then the fluff that came out of NBC. This really sucks, any idea on a replacement?

Peter Jennings was an Illuminati henchman. He went to every single one of those Bilderberger meetings. He was the Joseph Goebbels of the New World Order.

Peter Jennings has gone home to hell.

Well, he's been off since April. Elizabeth Vargas has been on most nights. I'd guess her or Charles Gibson.

*shrug* if it wasnt that, it would be something else.

I just think its funny everyone likes to blame cigarettes for death, but when some guy dies in an auto accident no one goes "transportation takes another life"

I'm deadly serious.

The body should be burned in a trash bin.

That's what Hunter Thompson said about Richard Nixon when RN passed on into oblivion. Plagiarism is not wise.

[/ QUOTE ]

sure you do. you hear stats for that all the time. using the awkward term "transportation" just disguises it.

after a holiday there are always stats about "over memorial day weekend there were X number of auto related fatalities."

or "last year there were X number of auto fatalities involving alcohol in texas."

But he certainly didn't report on them. Peter Jennings goes to a meeting with a few hundred of the world's most powerful men and he doesn't report on it or what was discussed at the meeting?

Hi Slater

I think you're most likely out of your mind but you have me interested. Could you go into more detail about what it is you are writing about? thanks

Every once and a while Slater posts a bunch of stupid bullshit that he reads in a book and then it takes like 500 views for someone to figure it out and post about it.

On the evils of tobacco. On my father's side of the family his father died of lung cancer at 65. Two of his brothers and his two sisters died of lung cancer. My Dad's other brother died of throat cancer he was a cigar smoker. They all died at age 66 or less, they were all heavy tobacco users. My Dad quit smoking in 1978 and never smoked again. He died 3 weeks ago at the age of 77 of lung cancer in a very similar way that Peter Jennings died. I understand that Jennings had quit for a long time but had started smoking again. Not sure if second hand smoke in public places contributed to my father's lung cancer.

Why couldn't it have been that scumbag Dan Rather? Life is not fair.
