This is a hand I observed last night at a local moose lodge. My friend was involved and he is looking for some advice on how to play this.

The game was 1/2NL with no cap on the buy-in.
The table is 9 handed and generally tight with 1 or 2 loose players.

Hero is considered a tight player.
Villian is an older guy who plays for the enjoyment(gambling). He is a very bad player who has trouble folding. Money is not an issue for him.

1/2 Blinds. UTG live straddles for $4.
UTG+1 folds.
UTG+2(Villian) calls. ($250)
MP2 Calls.
Hero calls in the Cutoff with A /images/graemlins/club.gif J /images/graemlins/club.gif($70)
Button calls.
SB Calls.
BB Calls.

$28 dollars going into the flop.

A /images/graemlins/heart.gif 10 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif J /images/graemlins/heart.gif.

Checked around to hero who bets $12.

Folded around to Villian who calls.

$56 dollars going into the turn.

Turn card came a 8 /images/graemlins/club.gif

Villan checks. Hero bets $12. Villian calls.

$84 dollars going into the river.

River comes Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif.

Villian checks. Whats hero's move?

Comments on all streets appreciated.

Pot the flop. Since he did not, push the turn.

bet atleast 25 on the flop, push the turn.

as played check behind on the river, and weep at the fact that he hit a gut shot with a K4.

Yup, raise more, check river...why bet 1/4-1/5 pot on turn???? especially to a calling station.
