What do you think? I just thought that it's pretty obvious that I'm behind, but what the hey, they're probably just some donk who hasn't raised their two pair or something... Wrong thinking, obviously, but is it still the wrong move?

I probably push the turn here. He's shown some interest in the hand already, and you want to make him make a difficult decision for all of his chips. I'd check/fold this river.

Id bet more on the flop, then push the turn.

When my stack is over two times the pot? Why not extract the most value from hands that are behind? Of course maybe then I should be able to fold the river when I'm beat, but that's no excuse /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I think you played it fine for the most part. I like the size of your bet on the flop and turn. The river is tough, and a fold was probably the correct play as I don't see him betting anything but the straight here unless he is a total donk. It's a hard fold to make though given the size of the pot, and I'd probably have called if I was actually in the hand.

The guy was never going to fold his hand. Just plain unlucky.

I'de bet more on the flop

The river is usually a fold. He has probably been calling you down with TP, so how many opponents do you think are position betting at you here with A9?

the call on the river is perfectly fine, but I would have most of my stack in on earlier streets anyway
