150 person B&M tourney, $45 buy-in for T700, top 18 paid - 1st is $1500. Blinds move up every 20 minutes.

Final table, 8 players remain, blinds at 1000/2000, there are T105,000 chips in play. There are 3 big-stacks (~T25,000 each) at the table.

I mini-raise UTG to T4000 with J7o, leaving T10,000 behind.

It's folded to the 3rd "big stack" who has T23,000 and raises.

Villian is an unknown, came from the other table before breaking down to the final 10.

It's folded back to you, the BB is all-in with his last T2000.

If the "big stack" raises T13,000 (T20,000 pot total) am I committed?

Thanks

Why are you miniraising UTG with J7o?

There are a lot of things I don't like about this post, but we will disregard them all for now.

No, if I was villain, I would not expect you to be pot committed. The whole impression your minraise gives is that you want to be able to have two shots at stealing a blind, and thus can give up if this one fails.

I can understand Punker, but thanks for taking a shot anyway....I don't think I expressed myself very well in this thread /images/graemlins/frown.gif

"I" didn't /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I took a hand I played during a recent tourney and posted it from the aspect of my opponent. My intent was to get a line on what the "actual villian" would do in the case I, the "actual hero" raised in this spot....sorry for the confusion.

I really value the input from this forum and it's no doubt helped my play tremendously, just trying to get some help /images/graemlins/smile.gif
