If you are sitting in a live game or tournament, when you do you get up and go to the bathroom?

Good post. I aim to be back for my BB. I feel I lose the least by missing my early hands.

Alternatively I go in my pants. Tilt can suck sometimes.

I go in MP because If I leave while in early position the blinds will pass me and i'll have to post to get back in on CO.

I try to go right after acting on as many of the tables I'm playing as possible. I literally run with my pants half down.

If its a [censored] though, I just sit out and take my time.

For those that go to the bathroom when the blinds get to the them, when you get back, do you post or wait for the BB?

The reason I posted the survey is that I've been playing a lot of NL and it has really shown me how important position is. I never really understood it in limit because there were always 4 or 5 people in the pot (small stakes) and so buying the pot because of position didn't happen very often. But in no limit and tourney play, there are fewer people in the pot, so position has greater significance. Position also allows you to have a wider hand selection preflop based on the others in the pot.

I used to go after playing CO, but since realizing positional signficance, I now get up when I am MP1 so that I can be back in time to take my big blind. If I miss the big blind, I but the button to keep my position advantage, or else wait until it gets back to me. I no longer "feel the need to play" by posting in the CO or MP3, because the hands I get in UTG will not make up for me missing out on the opportunities that the CO & Button provide.

I usually take a 1 orbit break during live play every 2 hours or so.
