View Full Version : Bad manners?

So yesterday me and 4 friends where playing NL Hold 'Em with $5.00 buy in .10 and .20 blinds, no ante. I started off slow and got shortstacked to around $2.00. Next hand, I am dealt pocket queens. I move all in, lying and saying I haven't even looked at my cards. Everyone put the person to my right folds. He calls with a hand he normally wouldn't call with b/c he was also shortstacked and believed I didn't loook at my hand. Well he loses and say "thats gay, you looked at my cards." Its obvisous after the hand I did indeed look at my hand, but I desperalty need action, so I lied. The guy who called is also a good friend of mine, but he got over it. But my question is, is it ok to lie? What is your opinion? Oh,btw I won and beat the rest of the table coming back from ~$2.00 to win $25.00. Thanks

It's okay to lie, just not in court.

He stole it from Klepton. Which I suppose is appropriate.
