PokerStars Pictures

Hey do the scenic pictures that many people use on PS as avatars signify anything. Seems like there are a ton of people who have very similar type pictures - either red or blue scences of mountains/setting sun. Looks to me that this might mean they are from a certain web site or something though maybe its nothing.

I think this is my first post so go easy.

the pictures that you see over and over are part of the samples that come with computers. people simply chose one of those when they opened acct.

Most of those pics are just standard windows xp files that come with the OS.

You forgot all the pictures of eyes. I have never seen so many people looking at me when I play poker as I do on Stars.

I think thats because people can't figure out how to resize the picture selection.

Well, also the thing that sucks is that they only let you change your pic twice...period. I wish I could change mine, even though my pic is better than the default flower or mountains.

I have to block all the pictures of eyes or really hot women...just too distracting.

Hey, I was playing with you Sunday, I wondered if you were a 2+2'er. It was funny how people kept commenting that you did indeed have a hand when you showed down! I was debating with myself on whether such a nick might actually be making you money by inducing the fish to call down.

People always make fun of my picture on stars. It's just a pic of me in the pub one night when I was half-pissed outta my head. It's actually quite funny because they often start to tilt when I don't rise to their verbal jabs. I guess it's because so many people on Stars are afraid to reveal their true identity or something.

Email support, if you say pretty please and are nice to them, they will give you another change of pic. At least they did for me.

its because the rest of them is butt ugly. same goes for "negative image" pics, "i like to pose at retarded angles" pics, and "the cleavage shot" for girls (i.e. "these are the only nice things I have, and the rest is too fat to show")

Well, mine is a Tampa Bay Buc helmet with the pirate flag...but I would like something a little more creative now.

golf & baseball av's = they usually suck at poker. golf means just fishy loose; baseball often overaggressive trying to bluff and steal.

NFL av's = often they're good players

There are of course exceptions to these general rules.

the babies, pets and eyes don't mean anything as a general rule.

My observations come from teh SNG's.

actually pokerstars used to offer default pics and thats why so many people have the blue and orange ones
