The only thing I can say is that sometimes these rebuy maniacs keep playing the same way after the rebuy period closes. You're pretty short-stacked in a deep stack game, and still too far from the money to be conservative. The first caller of the reraise is the one that worries me. Behind him, AA or KK should've pushed. If I had more chips. I'd fold. In this case, better than 3:1 looks too good to turn down and calling isn't an option, so I guess I grit my teeth and push in.

that's what i decided to..

first guy ended up pushing in over top of me.. first called folded, second guy called...

went up against AKo and K10o... tripled up, and now im' in good shape heading into the money.

VS better competition i should fold here though right? like, in $50's and up? or are the odds i'm getting too good to pass up, even against a likely AA/KK.

With 15xBB, you generally have to go with QQ.

No. The driving factor is the size of your stack both relative to the total of blinds/antes and relative to the average size. "Harrngton on Hold'em, v.2" addresses this in detail.

In certain situations (not this one), your play should be more conservative against worse opposition. In other words, take fewer chances when you are the best player at the table, take more chances when you're not.

Maybe true in some situations. However, when considering calling allins, you generally want to play looser against weaker competition, because they are less likely to have pushed with big hands. It depends on the situation, but weaker competition usually means looser and wilder play.

yes but all-ins preflop, especially with worse comptetion, is going to be 'wilder' as you said, if you're better than them, you should be able to find better spots against them, or atleast all-in preflop on your terms.

Most of these tournaments have a lot of players and no matter how good you are they are hard to win without taking favorable gambles.
