won a few satlites to the event, and i've decided to play the event, is the competition much different than the smaller buy-in events? This will be my biggest MTT yet, until now it's only been $10 R+A and $20 tourneys, and i splurged on a $100 once on Empire.
Basically just looking for confimration that this won't be that much harder competition.
Thanks for any input.

HoH vol. 1 describes the differences you're looking for.
If you have it you might want to go over that section quickly, it's at p. 59.
EDIT: Oh, and best of luck!

I'm not really sure what these guys are talking about. Of course there are a ton of great players in it, but they are vastly outnumbered by poor playing satellite entants. When I think of this tournament I don't think about the level of competition being high. Now the 100 rebuy later in the day, that's a tough field.

I completely agree with Colson. To think that this is the toughest field online is a complete exaggeration. I think it's just like any other big MTT. You will rarely get seated at your first table with someone you have heard of.

Alright then, that's what i first thought.
Either way, i'm kinda excited.
How many of you guys play the 500k? and for that matter the 100 R+A?
i've played this event a couple of times. c'mon, with 3k+ ppl do you really think the competition is that good?
