Never done one of these challenges before, but due to some recent and large setbacks, I'm going to try for $14,000 including rakeback in the next 2 weeks. I'm going to aim for 30-40k hands, by 4(maybe 5 or 6 if I fall behind?) tabling 10/20 6max, and I'm not even sure if this is possible simply because of the prolonged swings that occur in that game. Nonetheless, I invite all of you to either join in, laugh at my attempt, or follow my failure. I'll put my daily updates on this thing instead of 2p2 so I don't have to pollute the board with low content stuff so much:

your goal should be 30k-40k hands, not $14,000. you can't try to run good/not run bad. you can try to play lots of hands though. monetary goals only serve to discourage you

14k in 14 days = 1k in 1 day, given 1BB=20$, u need 50BB every 1 day. lets say u sit 10 hours, u need 5 BB/hour, say u play in 5 tables, u need 1BB/hour/table, say 80 hands/hour, u need to make 1.25BB/100.

conclusion: if u can make 1.25BB/100 u need to paly in 5 tables for 10 hours every day, 14 days.

Good luck with your very ambitious goal. If you get tired or otherwise unable to meet your original goal, don't be afraid to modify your timeline.

Adding more tables when you are running bad and not meeting your quota in a frantic attempt to win money more quickly is not something that is likely to turn out well. If you do best with 5 or 6 tables, then do that to start. If 4 is optimal for you, don't add more tables that will hurt your play when you are running bad.

IMO this is a disaster waiting to happen

EDIT: I hope it works out, but give serious consideration to what sthief09 wrote.

4table. Do not add tables. Play 2k hands/day. Use Tiltblocker. Check the cashier in 2 weeks.
