I think his prison sentence was fairly light for someone convicted of treason.

I thought the same thing. And he's getting out soon. I can't get worked up about it.

I don't think that's really the point. Should he have been convicted of treason? He blew the whistle on one of the most conflict-prone states in the most troubled region of the world illegally producing virtually every weapon of mass destruction known to man. His kidnap and arrest was also entirely illegal. If someone blew the whistle on the illegal nuclear weapons programme of a regime you didn't support and was jailed for this long, would you get a bit more worked up about it then? Why do you think Israel is entitled to such weapons?
