On my fourth attempt I won a seat in the Paradise Million Freeroll on August 27. Problem is this represents my entire tourney experience. I'm strictly a micro limit ring game player and have concentrated all my reading and studying there. Is there a short course in tourneys, books I should read, or should I just wing it again?

My strategy was to play only strong drawing hands while the blinds were low, and monsters otherwise. Once I had enough chips to likely make the cut I just stayed out of the way and folded everything.

My advice is that this tournie is going to be :

a) huge
and
b) a minefield

I'd say your going to need a whole barrel of luck to cash in this tournie.

My advice in the short term would be to read Harrington on Holdem versions 1 and 2. If you have no tournament experience but enough cash game experience to have a working knowledge of NL holdem you'll give yourself an edge over a lot of the field.
