How's my line here? I think my biggest mistake is the flop. On the river I decided we were chopping enough to call but in retrospect I probably should have lead the flop and folded the turn.

Yeah, push that flop, and you know it.

Handy trick: See the scariest turns for you, and wonder what they're doing to your action.

If you're fine with them, check, otherwise, lead.

yeah, with 1) your stack, 2) his stack, and 3) the blinds as high as they are - i would have popped the flop for t400...let him push the rest if/when he has a piece. the blinds alone are a nice pick up if not.

i too would just call that turn, ditto for the river (sucks when he shows an "8" /images/graemlins/frown.gif)

I might fold PF here, but perhaps that's a close call.

Regardless, if you're going to check the flop, for god's sake, bet the turn! You can fold to a raise (he can ONLY raise with the straight here) and shut down to a call unless you fill up on the river. Anyway, I don't like the awkward spot you put yourself in here. Bet the flop. Bet the turn when the 4-straight comes. He can only come over the top with a hand that beats you. At least make him pay to get it though.

Yea, this is one of my worse played hands in awhile. I think it was because I had just lost AK vs. AT on another table /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Bet flop, it's clear and not close.
