View Full Version : Preflop play in limit

This is a very simple question with a very difficult answer!

Which hands can I play preflop in limit?

I have used a lot of “starting hands charts” but they are not satisfying. They usually don't take the number callers or the type(loose/tight) of callers into account.

Can anyone reefer to any book, website or other literature?

I think Small Stakes Holdem is by far the best book for you but Internet Texas Holdem has a chart that sounds like it is what you are looking for.

starting hand charts arent good enough. you need to learn what makes a hand profitable. the ed miller book will certainly help you with that, but 1 thread isnt going to magically supply the knowledge you crave.

Depends a lot on position and what your opponents have already done. Get some good poker literature, since this question probably can't be adequately be explained by one post.

I can't say about the Miller book becuase I never read it. Super System 2 seems to be reasonably good. Please do not buy a Phil Hellmuth book.
