I was recently at the Rio during the World Series of Poker and sat down at the table and bought in for $400.00. I had about $5,000.00 in my pocket so I was not on a limited bankroll. The first hand-- I know-- I was in first position-- I know -- and I got K-Q spades. I called the $5 and the betting was as follows:

1. limper 2. button raise to $30.00 3. Big blind call

I decided to call even though i was out of position and holding a hand that could get me in trouble. I consider myself a solid player and the following flop came

Js 10s 3c

The big blind went allin for $300.00 and it was up to me I ended up going allin. The limper went allin for $1,200.00 and the original raiser reluctantly folded. I figured i had 15 outs to the possible nuts (9 flush) (6 straight) which would have put me at a better than 50% favorite against any over pair and 2 outs Ace/nine spades to the probable nuts. Smart call? Smart allin? I wil post what happened next.

I don't like the preflop call. The flop is a push every time.
