View Full Version : Where did the PPM 1-table qualifiers go?

I've qualified for 2 of the $535 seats Sept1-4.

Want to get 1 or 2 more via their 60+6's but now the single-table qualifiers don't appear in my lobby anymore.

Is it just me?
Anyone know what the deal is?

(asking here because I don't feel like bothering with Party's slow and idiotic support)

PM Slacker. He told me something about them cancelling them and moving them to Sunday, but he got $200 cash out of it because they lowered the buy-in.

well....they have some other qualifiers also in the 'special tourney' tab but I haven't been paying attention to those.

was just playing the 1-table qualifiers mostly.

if what you say is true then this is pretty weird.

i'm not even available to play on some Sundays anyway.

time to write party support and find out what happens to my two $535 freerolls.

Geez you freaking idiots at Party!! Thanks for telling me!!
-----------------------------

The buyin and the entry fee for the PartyPoker.com Million qualifier has changed. If you desire to know the information please refer to the below given link.

-------------------------------

I have written back to them to ask what the hell happens to my 2 freerolls that I have won (worth $535 each).
I'm going to try to get full cash for both of them.
I played these 1-tables with the expectation of getting seats to the $535 buy-in events.

Sunday at 6 (which is when they appear to be holding their $150 qualifiers now) is not going to be a very good time for me many weeks. I might play some of them....but I don't want to have to be forced to after they have apparently just decided to change everything about this without telling me (or anyone else as far as I know).

I was even getting in my extra raked-hands there so that I could get the full addition of starting chips.

what the hell are these guys doing?

oh well...waiting for their response.

FWIW - I went on this cruise last year and it was REALLY pretty terrific...in spite of Party's overwhelming incompetence.

Well....I guess I'll be getting cash-refunds upon entering the semi-finals which are still scheduled for Sept 1-4.
In the lobby they are still listed as 500+35.

But the e-mail they sent me says they are 250+20's now.
They aren't really giving away one seat ($17k) value for every 35 entries though.
It should be one seat for every 70 entries now I believe (it was 1 seat for every 35 entries when it was a 500+35).

Thank you for contacting us.

I understand your concern. The PPM V structure is currently being
revised. Package value and buy-ins will be lowered. Hence, we do not have
Single Table and Multi Table satellites and qualifiers for the time
being.

However, please be assured that your freerolls to the PartyPoker.com
Million V Semi Finals are safe. You may use these freerolls any time to
register for the Semi Finals. The Semi Finals buy in amount is revised
to $250 + $20.

Hence, you would be eligible for a refund of the difference in the
previous buy in and the revised buy in amount. The website will be updated
at the earliest in this regards.

You may go ahead and register for the Third set of Semi Finals which
are available in the Lobby and are open for registration. Please click on
the '+' of the 'PartyPoker.com Million' tab on the Lobby and select
'Semi Finals' for registering to the tournament.

The dates of the Third set of Semi Finals are as below:

Thursday, 1st of September 05 at 9:00 PM EST and the game played is No
Limit Holdýem
Friday, 2nd of September 05 at 9:00 PM EST and the game played is Limit
Holdýem
Saturday, 3rd of September 05 at 4:00 PM EST and the game played is No
Limit Holdýem
Sunday, 4th of September 05 at 4:00 PM EST and the game played is No
Limit Holdýem
However, you may always register for any of the 5 Semi Finals set. And
the 'Extra Starting Chips' upto a maximum of 2000 can be added to each
of the entry to Semi Finals.

Extra Starting Chips for each set of Semi-finals can only be accrued
during the two calendar months prior to the next scheduled date of the
Semi-finals.

The deadline to register into a semi-final of your choice and
distribute the Extra Starting Chips for that day of the Semi-final is 1 hour
prior to the start of the tournament (if the tournament starts at 9 pm EST
1st September then registrations for that day will close at 8 pm EST
1st September).

One Cruise Package will be awarded for every 35 entries; this means out
of every 35 entries 1 will be qualified for the PartyPoker.com Million
finals. Any remaining amount will be paid to the next three highest
finishers on a 50%, 30%, 20% ratio.

Good Luck!

Well, you got more information from them than I did. I qualified for a seat in the Semis by placing 3rd of 300 in a qualifier. The Semi was scheduled for this past Thursday. Since they didn't have enough players to make the $14K, they refunded me the difference of the original seat I earned ($250 + $30 me thinks) and the NEW IMPROVED price of $150 + $25 or something.

Anyhoo, I got $108 and a seat in the next PPM V Semi which will be now this Sunday at 3:00pm. I had family plans, but PP won't let me out of it....

So, I'll be playing then, unless they say otherwise. Right now, there are only 35 players registered and they are giving one seat for every 59 or some crap.

Plus, they sent me an email saying that I was in the MONDAY event. There is no Monday event, and I was listed as registered in the Sunday thing, so I contacted them. OOOPS they say.. Meant to say Sunday. Yeesh!

I really want to win a spot on the cruise and am hoping that we eventually get to play this tourney.

Thanks for the update Bobbo!

jeez.
these guys are really freaking stupid.

the cruise is great...but party was about as organized on the boat as you would typically expect them to be.
pokerstars was certainly better at the WSOP I thought (i won a ppm seat from party and a wsop seat from stars....my only means of comparison).

that sucks that they are making you play this sunday.
i would seriously consider calling them and asking for a future sunday.

have you tried unregistering from it to see if you get a freeroll for a future sunday event? (i know you can do this in some of the other 'regular' bigger events...at least you can on empire).
couldn't hurt.

I may try that! Once they told me that I HAD to play (I called them) in the scheduled Thursday event, I just assumed that I am required to play in the event in which they have me registered. Hmmm.
