This one made me think a bit about how I play my kings on an unfavorable flop...

In my recollection villians were both reasonable tags

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K/images/graemlins/club.gif, K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif.

Flop: (13 SB) 7/images/graemlins/spade.gif, A/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, MP calls, Hero...

I was prepared to automuck, but the action made me hesitate a bit. Am I insane for thinking this might be a playable hand?

I automuck this. Assuming Sb is sane, he only caps AA, AKs, KK. You don't have the Ks so at best your looking at a split pot and a 33% chance of getting outdrawn. MPs call is also disturbing b/c he either has an A or spade and your chances of holding the winning hand by the river is small
