How's this? UTG is bad, hence the pfr.

In this 3/6 game, I'm leaning more and more towards raising this against a total unknown, not just a bad player.

I also raise the flop. I hate that club, without it I'd 3bet the river in a second. I think I'd 3bet it anyways, but whether I do or not depends on how I'm running /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think you have to raise the flop.

Look at my relative position though. It's going to create a huge pot and not knock anyone out. Guess I could maybe take a free turn... but.... dunno if it's worth it.

Then raise because of your equity- you going to still be in the same relative position on the turn anyway.

?

You've likely got the best hand, and its not a super draw-heavy flop. I'd raise and then bet if checked to even if the Q came out.

Raising the turn makes the momst sense here. You're going to wind up paying 2 bbs to see the showdown anyway and there is an excellent chance you're ahead. Sb migh have as little as T9 and I think you're ahead of him a fair amount of time. UTG is most likely on a draw and might even have 8x drawing for 2 pair. Judging by his river raise, I put him A8 or A3 but he could just as easily have a flush having called the flop w/a pair + bd flush draw or strait draw + bd flush draw.

Raise the turn play it from ear. If UTG wakes up and 3 bets you can toss it. If sb 3 bets you have a tougher spot here as he may have just 2 pair

I like the flop raise for value and because it becomes much easier to play the turn.
