I still read in flat mode but if the thread is enormous by the time I'm first reading it I'll skim quickly and usually stop at posters that I enjoy reading.

I don't read everything in threaded. I just looked at [censored]'s "I got arrested post". It's [censored] 125 posts long. I have basically 10 minutes to peruse OOT before I have to leave. I went to threaded and clicked on the names I recognized. JA sucker, you, and a couple others. 125 posts went down to like 5. Unlike a lot of people in OOT, I actually have stuff to get done during the day.

I read only in threaded mode, but I read everything and everybody . By the way I have tried to set my preferences for threaded mode like I did on my old account but it only shows threads in flat mode so I manually have to mke the change. How come?

Yeah, threaded mode is the fastest. Some threads break into 2 or 3 tangents, and you might just be interested in one tangent and threaded let's you get to that one.
