View Full Version : AutoIt, Empire Warning and buddy list

I'm solving the buddy list copy problem on party skins once and for all with an AutoIt script.
But as I was happily coding away I got the popup warning about "unfair advantage software". Anyway, since this appeared two hours after I started I can't think that it was triggered by anything other than AutoIt.

I sent an email to support immediately of course and explained what I'm doing but haven't got a reply yet.

Has this happened to anyone else running AutoIt?

Yes, it happened to me. I had an AutoIt macro running just to scroll through my favorite websites as I played poker. It had nothing to do with poker.

I believe it is the reason PP closed my account and seized over $600 of my money.

The irony is that I've more than made up the money on other sites and am doing better than I ever did at PP.

I thought in another thread you were running PokerEdge or PokerProphecy?
AutoIt is used for all types of applications. Has there been any more communication with PP about this?

Yes, I had been running PE but deleted it a week before PP closed my account. They now say I was running a bot.

Another poster suggested HoldemInspector2 might be the issue since it, according to the poster, can be transformed into a bot with a little coding.

It now seems more likely PP was looking at HoldemInspector2 than the AutoIt macro.

PP has not responded to any of my ten emails and phone calls only result in "Sorry but you violated the rules. No, we won't tell you what you did."

This matter has a frightening resemblance to "The Trial" by Kafka.

Seems to me there are gonna be a helluva lot of accounts closed if poker sites determine any scripting tool working is a possible bot!

I don't want any bots allowed on any site, but if this proves to be a problem, I sure can't use the work computer in my home office.
