View Full Version : trends at party poker

08-05-2005, 11:33 AM
Most players in the know have figured out that Party is not dealing random cards.I have a friend who says he has noticed another trend. After getting ahead $20 or so in low limit he hits a wall. From that point on he feels he is a cinch loser.BUT.........if he leaves the game, logs off of Party, logs on again and plays, everything is back to normal.Or at least as normal asit gets at Party.Anybody else notice this??????? Don't even bother leaving a message that Party is squeaky clean.BS.

Well since I started lining my tinfoil hats with neoprean and dangly beads they can't tell when I'm ahead anymore. It seems to have taken care of hte problem.

can i respond by saying your friend that plays LL is a goofball if he thinks a public company will tamper with the penny games?

I too have noticed a trend. Why is it always a player at the lowest possible stakes who realizes that a poker room is fixed?

I think I've finally read a "rigged/conspiracy" post that should be deleted.

Often the posts are from well-meaning non-technical types who can't help but tilt from the nutballs in chat and a few bad beats. This one just crosses the line in tone and inanity.

Mods to the rescue, please!

Ruining this thread so no one else can read it.

You should've put a warning in the topic "*Warning: May induce baby punching"

Party Easter Egg: If you turn off your computer, click your heels together 3 times, sing the Star Spangled Banner backwards, go to the bathroom and take a dump, eat 13 cheez doodles, watch a Cheech and Chong movie, then turn your computer back on and log back in - Party will deal you nothing but pocket aces.

This is utter nonsense. Any intelligent, competent poker player knows that the only way to beat online poker is with an AFDB. (http://zapatopi.net/afdb.html)

When I get about $20 ahead, I sit out, leave the room, change my clothes, mess up my hair, and put on sunglasses. Then I sit back down and speak in a German accent and use the mouse left-handed. That just confuses the hell out of Party, and I'm good to go for another $20-30.

Silly me, I thought we'd get to 12 noon before one of these posts showed up today.

Trying to speak rationally with an idjit is like wrestling with a pig:

Don't worry, its not rigged, you and your friend just suck at poker. Nothing to be ashamed of, you're just with the other 92 percent of people who play.

I just felt the need to post in one of the dumbest threads in 2+2 history. I feel special.

You obviously haven't read enough 2+2 threads.

Congrats. He figured it out.

He almost has the total winning pattern down other than sacrificing a virgin. Tell him you are available.

You are right. I have noticed a trend with PartyPoker as well. You can be sure that, everyday, someone will create an account on 2+2 and make wild accusations about PartyPoker.

I don't think a mental virgin counts.

See, this is why I love reading these threads. Not only did I get a good chuckle out of the AFDB website (which I'm currently leaning towards believing is actually tongue-in-cheek), but I had to do a quick google on the Shaw quote, and found a ton of similarly witty ones besides.
Thanks guys.

I want one of those!

Remember their advice though:
BEWARE OF COMMERCIAL AFDBS: Since you should trust no one, always construct your AFDB yourself to avoid the risk of subversion and mental enslavement. Sometimes, AFDBs will be sold on places like eBay. Do not purchase these pre-made AFDBs, even if the seller seems trustworthy. They may contain backdoors, pinholes, integrated psychotronic circuitry or other methods that actually promote mind control.

Yep. You got it. It's rigged. Nobody wants to believe it, but it must be.

Just follow the advice given in this thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=3051030&page=6&view=colla psed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1) (pdf document in the first post) and you'll do just fine.

Just to give you an example: Party $1000/2000 15-handed today:

I'm dealt 2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif (don't do this when they are suited or even both red or black!), as I should I raise pf, someone likes his hand pretty good (maybe some 2+2er who still thinks raising with aces pf is +EV) and reraises me.
I happily cap it.
Flop comes like A-x-2. Bet, raise, rr, cap. So he's got aces.
We all know what's coming now. Turn: 2. Bet, raise, rr, cap. River -- I know it, he knew it, you know it : 2. Bet, call... That's why you shouldnt overplay those aces.
