hero goes home and cries to mama!!

u cant even think about calling this IMO. youve shown strength and this guy just open pushed into u for a massive over bet. i dont see many overbets like this being air at this level.

Yes, but a set might also take this line, yes? Putting me on an over pair. Then again, he might think I might have hit the quuen, and is sure I will call him with top set (when he has the straight).

Well, you do have 10 outs. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I fold and am glad he didn't c/r me with his jack, or else I would have been all-in.

Of course, I folded. After all, I think I am known as the most weak-tight player on these boards /images/graemlins/laugh.gif.

I'd let this one go. I don't see any evidence that you have him beat....other than you have a set of queens. But his actions are screaming "I just made my straight!" Let it go and save $58.

I don't think you are always beat here either. I just think you are beat enough times to make this a -EV call over the long run. Pot is giving you terrible odds with villian's overbet. It's a horrible way to play a straight, but I think I have to give him credit for one and cut my losses.

i've noticed that, mind posting your winrate? Iceman5 claims over at BTP.com that he was railed for being weaktight on these forums but has a ptbb 10/100 at some high stake (don't remember which but I think it was 600)

I can tell you one thing. The last couple of months I have become less weak-tight after being berated here multiple times for it, and my winrate has dropped along with my weak-tightness.

FWIW, this is a fold even against me. But man do I love pushing in these situations with 77.
