Im considering moving to San Fran area,

was interested in what the tourney action is like up there.

I know Bay 101 is the main poker spot.

I want to specialize in NL tourneys, and would like to play in a daily $75-$150 type NL tourney each day.
The Bay 101, from their website I gather, has only spread limit tourneys.

Are they really NL and the site just outdated? cause Spread limit just seems itll take me off course.

How are the Bay 101 dailys?

Have not played them, but they are Spread Limit. San Jose does not allow No Limit (2 exceptions a year for Bay 101).

I think Lucky Chances (just South of San Francisco) is the closest no limit, but I am not certain.

Bay101 spreadlimit tourneys are 1 to 40x, so they are in effect no limit, except maybe for the first round.
Garden City tourneys are 1 to 10x, so don't effectively become no limit for a few rounds.
I have no problem treating either tourneys as effectively no limit.

bay101's 'spread limit' is just a not so thinly-veiled attempt at getting around the no-NL rule in SJ. it plays exactly like NL, I have never played a hand in that tourney where the spread ever had an impact on how I or anyone else played the hand.

Bay101's tourneys are great and very soft and in the exact price range you are looking for. I don't like GC's as much because the first few rounds are pretty stupid w/ the structure, but after the first few rounds, it's pretty much like NL.
