Long story short, if you plan on making a 3xBB raise, plan on pushing if you get called and are then OOP even if you don't hit, as a continuation bet is too much of your stack to do anything else but go all-in, and a check seems too weak. If you hate this, just push now. Check out the hand I posted and comment if you'd like - I think it's an interesting situation that doesn't have a clear-cut "right" thing to do, but this is my "answer" to this situation for now.

I don't like a push here. It's close, but I'd wait for 1)my stack to shrink a little or 2) blinds to go up once more before pushing.

Normally I don't like pushing here, because at level 3 only better hands will call. But there is a short stack in the small blind who might decide to gamble. It's close, but I like a push here.

Femto, I have to disagree here. I think that this is definitely a push while just raising 3 BB is probably marginally EV. Any flop that hits I am going to have to make a continuation bet which is gonna commit me to the pot. So a continuation bet is gonna be a push- might as well do it PF so that some donk doesn't get frisky with 89s or J10o.

The play I almost always make in your situation with around 12-15 BBs and AK UTG or UTG+1 is just to limp. I hope I get raised so that I can push b/c AK plays so well when it sees all 5 cards (cliche- i know). The problem with your raise getting called is exactly whayt happened. You missed the flop and you're in that no man's land where a continuation chops your stack and checking is just so F-ing weak. If you had limped and you miss the flop- no big deal. In fact, you may get your free card b/c if the pot is small villian has less incentive to move at it and may want the free card as well. Of, course sometimes this backfires as limping begets limping begets limping and you could hit the flop but if you have 4 others to a draw heavy board AK doesn't look so hot anymore. Nonetheless, from UTG or UTG+1 I'm limping AK at your blind level, your stack, and that many people still left. In my case, from LP, my stack relative to the blinds I think the correct play is to push.

I like for the push,you cant just fold AK in this spot, and raising will prettty much commit you on any CB bet here. Your blinds also are come up, which is going ot put you at 10xbb anyway why not get an extra blind or a the coin flip. You maye even get called a hand that you dominate.
