$20 buyin a little bit past the bubble. Villain is pretty solid, likes to open raise but I haven't seen him play back at raises much.

Buy-in? Reads? Past the bubble?

On first glance it looks a lot like he's trying to isolate the shorty who inexplicably called for more than 90% of his stack. I'd probably gambool here, expecting to be up against AK-A9, maybe KQ, or QQ-88. Winning this pot puts me in outstanding shape to bully people and go quite deep in the tournament.

A decent read on the villain could easily change this to a fold.

Easy call against opponents who raise small with AA/KK. Against others, especially solid/tricky opponents, I make the disgusted fold (almost always).

Getting all-in first with AQs is awesome, calling all-in...not so awesome.

Fold preflop. The action in $20 buyin tournaments just past the bubble is ridiculous. You're gonna have hands like 55-99 pushing over the top of you. I think its a limp or fold, I prefer the fold. As far as the way you played it, easy laydown on the reraise.

If this guy is even remotely solid, he knows he'll be showing this hand down because of the call by the short stack, I'd expect to see AK or a pair here enough that a fold is probably the correct play.

Look at it from the button's point of view. He has a big stack, and is attacking the only stack that can break him. You made a significant raise from UTG. He has to expect that you will call him. I think the button has a huge hand.
