I searched and found relevant posts, I can see that presto = 55. So, why is it called presto?

"Presto, you lose to an overpair (again)!"

Seriously, anyone?

From a post in June, 2002...

There used to be a card room in London called the Presto Club, at 55 Victoria Street. The locals there used to call 5-5, Presto, because of the address. One year they went to the WSOP and they used the term and the Americans caught on to it

Searching here by "presto" alone was too broad, I think I searched for "presto" and "why" (all forums, any date). Here the link to the post that asked the question.
