I've got a handful of cds that are dirty that require some cleaning, what are my options?

are you talking scratches or simply dirty?

If just dirty, the solution is water (with a little soap if needed) and a non-abrasive cloth.

Dirty or scratched?

If it's just dirt some rubbing alcohol would probably work.

Sandpaper gets them cleaner than anything else.
