Hero bets 400, Villian raises all-in

Hero calls, Villian shows trip As..

Should I have walked away on the all-in re-raise?

you've misintrepreted information. He raised to t100 preflop trying to buy blinds.

Don't raise 5x BB from LP preflop. Raise 3-4x BB.

And throwing away top and bottom pair here is really, really bad.

Hero doesn't need to bet t400 on that flop either. Bet 2/3 pot, and 3-bet all-in from there if you're raised.
