If you were getting a fantastic promotion where you would have to play these limits ($2-$4 through $20-$40 fixed limit) how many hands would you be willing to play in a month?

Assuming 6-max is available and the games are good, I'd do 20-25k every month. 3/6, 5/10 and maybe 10/20 when I am more confident.

What's the promotion?

well the promotion would have to beat the 35% rakeback im getting now so make it 70% rakeback and i will easly play 10 to 20k hands per month /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Don't you think 20k-50k is quite a wide bracket?

If we're talking FANTASTIC promotion than I could easily do 50k hands.

If we're talking 'Bob gets pretty good rake-back and needs to play so that he can pay the bills' I frequently struggle to play much at all.

I guess I have motivation issues.

When I won the PPM cruise in Feb I played 20k hands in 4 days on only 4 tables. this was 10/20 6-max.
And when I did this I very much agreed with those who told me that my efforts would probably not be good enough to win the seat.

For a WSOP entry or something like that I don't think I would have much difficulty playing 50k+ hands in a month (especially if I'm also racking up player-points and/or rake-back while doing this).

But it obviously also depends on speed of the tables, whether I can play 6-max also, and how many tables I would be allowed to play.

Depends on the promotion. If it's good enough - "until you pry the mouse from my warm comatose fingers"

I said 5K-10K, but was thinking in EVERY single month. I'd play 20-50K in a single month, however. Also depends on how fantastic the promotion is. Spill the beans! The anticipation is killing me!

this is true.

are we talking 'per month' or 'in a single month'?

I voted over 50k because I play over 50k at 3/6 per month anyway(acrost multiple skins and 8 tables). If this is one site where you can only play 4 tables there is no way I would touch this number.

Thought you'd be all over that one, or do you need a higher bar to shoot for?

Actually, I would do a deal like this with Gaming Club in a hearbeat. They were great to work with.

One consideration would be just how many hands were required, and how that would fit in with the time I could allot to playing there. My life got seriously out of balance during that last challenge to the point were it was affecting my health. I'm determined since I got back from Vegas to restore balance and not let the poker warp all other areas.

If it was something that I could do and still be well rounded, I would jump on it.

I guess I would have to say 120K hands in six weeks since I did it once already.

More seriously speaking, I think I heard of a "group" of high volume players that are willing to play a large number of hands for a WSOP seat or other major poker event, and the poker site that does it will get an incredible amount of good PR from it.

I think I read something about that idea in this thread:

Cash is king O'Doyle, or so it seems, but am looking at differen't options.

I am first of all making sure that The Gaming Club Poker Room will allow 8 tabling at least and not only the measly 5 tabling as is currently going on /images/graemlins/wink.gif.

Mini view on two monitors, perfect!

Got some good feedback on my ideas today, just need to get all the details ready and we might be ready to Rock and Roll!

Shauna, I don't know if your better half could take another Extreme session from you, I will have to speak to her about that! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Why is she the *better* half?

She may be the prettier half, or the smarter half, or the harder working half, but..................

ah nevermind, you're right. /images/graemlins/blush.gif

Think about it, if I said she was the Better (or Worse) 10%, what would I say about you???

If you got her a computer and got her playing, think of how much fun you could have! together!!!

Hurry up ToT - the unwashed masses want their sweet sweet bonus deal!

Seriously, I've only got $100 at party and $120 at crapsolute - until their next reload /images/graemlins/wink.gif before I have to start playing for a pitiful 20-27% rakeback.

Pappa needs bonii!

You know I'm interested Havana. I am capable of 1500-2000 hands a day while maintaining my sanity, which, as I discovered, has a lot of EV. 8 tabling would help, but the Gaming Club's game selection would mean we'd have to be able to play low limit, like down to 1/2. 8 tabling the NL would be tough. Looking forward to hearing what the idea is!

I would be down for whatever promotion you got, especially if 8-tabling was allowed. However, it would have to be pretty good to come play against a ton of 2+2'ers and have my winrate suffer.

I was also assuming this was for total # of hands, not RAKED hands.
