So I was at the MonteCarlo hotel in vegas a few weeks ago and the doorman sees my sattelite radio and goes, hey that's cool what kind of music u like? I go, oh mostly 80s stuff. He's like, yah I grew up in the 80s too...What are you like 40? I say, what, dude I'm 29....I guess I really didnt truly grow up in the 80s...More like late 80s early 90s or something. Anyhow, I felt old that day and realized that my tastes were outdated...I actually spent the entire day thinking about my musical interests and how old I must be, all the while playing cards in the WSOP ME. Anyway, I'm gonna give a shoutout to my favorite 80s bands since most music after 1990 is just chit anyway.

1.Journey
2.Foreigner
3.Queensryche

Anybody else got a fav. 80s band? Anybody even like the 80s?

I can no longer stand the '80s. And I dread the '90s too. Ugh.

Good 80's bands:
Stevie Ray Vaughan (hands down the best thing to come out of the 80's.)
Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and John Mellencamp all had some good albums in the 80's.
The Pretenders were 80's, weren't they?
GNR (late 80's.)

I'm in my 40's and still listen to music from the 50's to 70's. Time has stood still for me musically...

There are a very few 80's songs I like. I tried to listen to new music in the 80's and 90's but just couldn't get into the new stuff.

Oh well.

You are dodging my "banned from the forum" bet in the other thread. Go there and accept it. I'm trying to do you a favor.
