Empire 400NL full ring.
This is literally my first hand at the table. I have no read on this player whatsoever.

I have $400, Villain covers.

I get A /images/graemlins/heart.gif J /images/graemlins/heart.gif in the BB

2 calls, 2 folds, Villain raises to $12. I call in BB (is this bad?). The limpers both call.

Flop is 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif J /images/graemlins/spade.gif

I check, limpers check. Villain bets $28. I call, more for the bluff opportunity later than anything. Limpers fold.

Turn is 2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif

I bet $70

I don't think the call pf was bad and I would raise the pot for a bluff here if I was going to bluff. I presume he had an overpair and called!

preflop call is marginal against an unknown. i personally like to have reads before i get myself into sitcky situations like this one.

that said, i don't like this board to run the bluff. a lot of bad players will chase their "4+ outs" here forcing you to bluff again on the river, which is hard to do given the board.

honestly though, i like folding preflop until i've seen him do this often pos raise BS enough ST i dominate his hand range.
