the most overrated album of all-time.

Is that crap even listenable anymore?

some of the producing (mostly the sound effects) sound outdated, but there are some great beats.

Q is a genius.

Yes. It's a phenomenal album. I have it in my car and it makes it into the CD changer every other month or so.

In what format did you download the remastered version (e.g. 128/stereo MP3, 16/44.1 WAV,....)?

He's been busy making the score for the 50 cent movie, "Get Rich of Die Trying." His first music score in quite a few years.

Pure Ownage as used in online gaming to stress your superiority on all levels. Spawned from the root word pwn, which originated as a misspelling of the word own. Hence this stupid word is two screw-ups away from anything close to english.

Glad to hear it.

How's the sound quality? I mean, do you think you are really getting the benefits of the remastering?

And here's a really tricky question: can you hear the difference in mastering? (probably nearly impossible truly know without both versions played through the same system using the same format, ideally with no file compression at all).

I don't have the most highly trained ear in the world. No experience in music production or anything.

I run an iBook, transmitting over Airport Express to a
JVC RX717V
Receiver (Pro Lgc)
105w x2 stereo/ 105w x3 pro logic/ 20w x2 surround, 4 audio ins, 2 video ins, universal remote, sub/ surround pre-outs

Speakers, two Pioneer 100W for fronts, with side woofers, Onkyo 80W center, and two 60W bookshelfs for rear.

I know this system is sort of mix and match, but it works for what I do.

Comparing with and without remastering, last I listened to Thriller it was the vinyl on a much less poweful system, so I don't know.

The bass comes through very crisp, and I hear a lot more of the sound effects that I don't remember hearing before.
