With stack this shallow I'm not getting away from TPTK on a board like this. The players look like they'd probably call a bigger pre-flop raise so I might make it a tad more pre-flop.

As short as these stacks are, and as big as your preflop raise was, NO WAY IN HELL.

Nicely played.

No way you are getting away from this. Say NH and rebuy.

nope. play at the cascades in langley if you want deeper stacks. with double the max buy-in and aggressive action, it is not uncommon to be sitting at the table with $800 or more.

that would be nice elus, but right now im just trying to build a bankroll and theres no way i could afford to play for 200 right now. im gona stick to river rock, especially friday and saturday nights cuz tons of the players are just there to have fun, getting completely hammered, giving away there money.

It was good play.

Evil avatar, by the way.

haha thanks, it was just the first pic i came across that was small enough...

Aside from making a stronger bet, preflop.
K 10 is a real possiblity. I would be afraid of with that many limpers. I think your mistake was letting all those people come in and see a flop. the 44 would've most likely laid it down to a strong preflop raise. Just my 2 cents.

win it downstairs at the craps table.

haha, right elus...that would get me nowhere, not only is my bankroll just big enough for one game, but i hardly know how to play. if anything id play down on the BJ tables cuz that was my first game at the casino and she did me well. but its all poker now, and if i cant build a bankroll doin it, then i guess i shouldnt be doin it, but hopefully that wont be the case

just wait for sets and don't call preflop raises more than 5% of stack with smaller pocket pairs. play big aces AK/AQ, AJ in position and wait for top pair top kicker. play big pairs. sometimes sneak in a suited connector if it's cheap in late position. that game is a cinch and it is just so ridiculously shortstacked most of the time. once you can build a roll to 2k then come down to langley and play for some better money. i've been averaging about 75 (95 if you count beer/tip) bucks an hour there over the last month over roughly 60 hours of play and have had only 3 losing sessions. running well vs awful opponents is fun.

thats more or less what ive been doing, im play really tight cuz im not backed by much money, in the 2 sessions previous to last night, i played for about 7 hours and only played 6 hands, and won every showdown, i agree with what you said about premium hands with tptk, but i just finished reading super system and im now a huge fan of the suited connectors, anytime i get a chance to see a flop for a decent price im on it, same with small pockets
