Bjork - Vespertine.
Beatles - Abbey Road.
The Doors - The Doors.
Beatles - Sgt. Pepper.
Pink Floyd - Dark side of the Moon.
Ani DiFranco - Little Plastic Castle.
The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Jazz Impressions of Japan.
Bob Dylan - Self Titled.
Eric Clapton - Live and Unplugged, '92.
Bruce Dickinson - The Chemical Wedding.

That's a general order, but the sounds are so different that it's hard for me to order it any more precisely. I think there'd be another beatles album or two on there if I wanted to be more serious about it.

someone explain to me, please, Sufjan Stevens' sudden popularity? 'cause I just don't get it.

Sounds like John Mayer Lite. And that's pretty lite.

This is a spur of the moment list of what comes to mind I find getting down to 10 really hard and can change week to week dependant on what is new and what I am listening to at the time, I have tried to make it one album per band otherwise a very repetitive list.

1 New Model Army - Thunder and Consolation
2 Metallica - Master of Puppets
3 Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden
4 Slayer - South of Heaven
5 AFI - Black Sails the Sunset
6 Helloween - Keeper of 7 keys pt 2
7 Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
8 Cradle of Filth - Nymphetamine
9 Savatage - Gutter Ballet
10 Paradise Lost - Draconian Times

I could go on and on and have missed off loads of stuff I really like as well as some new stuff.

I think Dickensons new album is probably better than Chemical Wedding, I preferred his Skunkworks style but his return to metal stuff has probably been better than what Maiden have produced the last two albums.
