i push a lot. it seems like i get called very rarely. thoughts? assume i have a reasonable image.

I dont like this with 39, having TJ or something makes the move alot better.

Fairly standard for me if villain has done this multiple times already.
If this is first time he's completed, I just check behind.

do you mean open-completed against me, or do you mean o.c.'ing then folding?

Both really, but mostly #1. I try to keep this play infrequent, because if they are awake, they will realize they can snap me with a real hand.
Basically I let them do it in the early levels, and then pick a spot to push later when the blinds are high enough.

It depends. Sometimes I forego this because I know I can do it much cheaper postflop or maybe even hit the flop! It depends how things feel at the table.

First of all, it depends on the player... loose calling stations don't like to fold after a limp: he'll probably call.
I would check this and see how he plays the flop and bet it out there if u want, or just check it down with nothing.
You might not have 10xBB, but you don't have 3xBB either... no need to over-gamble here

if they're weak i'll do this all day - i love doing this heads up too (with a top 40% hand)
