assuming the raiser has a typical UTG TAG holding, what should I be calling with for half price HU?

typical TAG holdings is not specific enough. steal %? position?

I will open on the button with a huge range of hands because of position, which I would otherwise fold in other positions, and against a player like me, I'm defending with basically any of those hands I would have opened with.

I understand higher ones, But 22-66 you fold right? Just checking, as arnt these hoping tohit straight and only paying againstmany opponants?

Same with suited connectors, Straight/flush strength best multiway no?

Nah. You gotta remember, you didn't put that SB in the pot preflop, some magic poker god did. So you're getting 3.5:1 on a 7.5:1 shot of flopping a set. If you flop that set and can't make up 4sb against a raise from UTG, you're missing chromosomes. You can safely call with all pocket pairs here. You can use the same logic on strong suited connectors. Give me 87s and up and all suited broadways to start.
