Only KK, QQ, and JJ have outs against me, so I decided to check this flop against these two weak tighties in hopes that they pick up a set or something so they don't just lay down on the flop. Good?

No I think its really bad. Theyre going to expect you to bet anyways, atleast then its harder for them to put you on a hand. Checking through the flop will raise a tiny warning flag inside their heads and spook them.

Just bet again theres still a lot of draws they can chase down and Im sure theyll be more than willing to.

it turned out pretty good for you, but you might have gotten that action anyway in addition to some flop bets.

if i'm your opponents i'm more inclined to get away from my draw or marginial hand when you check this flop through.

You missed a lot of action

This is really bad. I'm usually tempted to do this when I flop a big hand, then I remember how it looks from my opponents' perspectives. I always think 'top set' or something like that when I see a PFR check through a flop last-to-act.

I got extremely lucky here and the guy had 22. Of course, I still hate it. Oh well. I probably lost 1BB

Edit: Oh, this was kind of a brag post too, because it put me in the black on a -33BB session starting out.

I count on betting these flops with my 77 so I am generally going to bet them with my AT too.
