I will honestly make an effort to participate this week. Maybe TaxChick will let me post a pic of our little cashew.

In other news, time for people to pipe in on what they'd like to see in NA v. Euro IV.

When is the King of the Zoo PLHE?

Hopefully I'll be home in time for the Pacific. Gotta work late and want to make up for going out 30/31 in teh Atlantic and betting into an open set with my AA in the Pacific.

King of the Zoo is Thursday night, 21:00 EDT. Contact eMarkM by pm or at www.kingofthezoo.com. (http://www.kingofthezoo.com.)

There are qualifications for that tournament. (25 posts I think.)

They have usually run about 1-2 tables. With the notice posted at the top of the forum on a sticky by citanul (thanks!) we had 20 - 25 for each game last week. Probably the same this week, I hope. A little longer than a normal 2 or 3 table sit n go because the 2+2 gang are less inclined to drop out early on dumb plays. (Doc's excepted of course.) So a little over 2 hours probably for the winners.

Give citanul a break. They won't let him post an unlocked sticky like last week. He worked real hard for us to get the sticky at the top of the forum with the pointer to this thread so we can have the usual bullsh** and still have a sticky notice at the top of 1TTF.

I don't see what he could have here that he played in this way, besides AA, maybe 88. Total [censored] bluff seems like the most likely thing at this point, which is what I thought then, but I mucked it anyway.

Only my second forum game. I'm wondering how I played this. I'm not used to deep stack play.

[/ QUOTE ]

A set, as you mention, is certainly possible. AQ or AK are also quite possible, and in my opinion the most likely holdings. I'm trying to think what a realistic holding containing a 6 is, but I'm not sure there is one. I think you're beat pretty often on the river, though, so folding to the raise is good, in my opinion.

I think one thing to consider when you're playing against 2+2ers is that AJ does start to look substantially worse, simply because the only A's you're likely to get action from when you hit your A are bigger ones. After your flop bet gets called, I probably slow down and try to get to showdown as cheaply as possible. This is a place where being out of position is particularly unpleasant; checking the turn after getting called on the flop will frequently induce a bluf, but firing out again isn't terribly appetizing either.
