Concerning late game strategy

Blinds are 250/500
2 people left
You are in the SB
Chip stacks are relatively even

Now my question...
If you are going to play your hand, is there any reason at all not to push?

yes ... to see a flop and decide if you want to put your chips in then ... if you push and you lose you're out, but if you raise and get met with a lot of resistance, you still have plenty of ammo to win the HU battle

I can think of two:

- When you have one of the tophands
- When you're opponent shits his pants when you miniraise

I definitely call sometimes from the SB here. I don't think its a push or fold situatiuon at all in the 1000 chip games. In the 800 chip games it's a lot tougher to call preflop, although against a weak predictable opponent I might call with very weak hands and bet any flop.
