I was wondering if anybody could give me some info on how much it costs to play a satelite for say a smaller buy-in tourny at the world series, like say I wanted to try to win a seat in the $2000 or $3000 buy-in no limit tourny? How much are the satelites and what kind of structure is there? How many players? How many win seats? how often or how many satelites are offered per day?

Thanks in advance for any info,

For a $2000 buy in event, you will probably have to put up $225 in a satellite. Good luck.

$225, cool, thats ok, Im guessing its a single table satelite (10 player)? They dont have super satelites for the smaller events? Just wondering, b/c Ive never been to a big tournament before. Also, I was wondering how many times a day do they have these satelites and for how many days?

Thanks for the help.

I'm a bit jealous as I wish I could go to the WSOP this year.

If you want super satellites for the smaller events, you can find some online. TruePoker has one for a $1500 or $2000 WSOP tournament. DynamitePoker has a super satellite for a $6.50 buy-in for a $1500 WSOP seat.

PokerStars I believe has super satellites for the big one.

No supers for the smaller events, just the $10000 main event. The one table satellites(usually for the next days event) run all day upon player demand. There is no sign up for these the TD will kinda holler out "225 one table satellite!" and people are seated first come first served.

Cool, thats kind of how I thought it would be. I just got to ask though, If you win the sat do you get the money and do what you want w/ it or do they automatically take it and enter you into the bigger tourney?

I understand that the first seat you win you have to play. If you win more than one you are allowed to sell the surplus seat(s).

Hopefully see you there. I'm there 10th May onwards /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
