Most of the time, you're going to be out of luck w/ live PL games in Vegas. However, during the world series which is coming up shortly, the Horseshoe will regularly spread PL games from 5-5 to 25-50 I believe.

I played pot-limit hold'em last night. Also on Saturday night. It was an over-button game but everyone at the table for ten hours had over-buttons (the same on Saturday), so in reality it was a pot-limit game.

The blinds are $1 & $2. Even with those super small blinds we still had a few $1000+ pots. One in which I had the nut flush, cha-ching :-)

These games burn out kind of fast. So it may not last very long. On the other hand, I have never had a problem in 8 years, trying to find a small blind, pot/no limit game in Vegas. I'm a low-limit player who enjoys the pot/no-limit format every now & then.

These small blind, big bet poker games (when they are spread) are almost always at a small hole in the wall casino in no man's land (ie,Town Tavern).

The game I was plaing in last night was at Arizona Charlie's.

Best of Luck

Hello Lurker,

An over-button is a a small button looking object used in "over" games (picture a missed blind button).

A game with "overs" goes something lke this.........

Let's say the game is 10-20 with 20-40 overs. When the hand is being contested only by those players with over-buttons, the game is played 20-40. If someone is in the pot without an over button, the hand remains 10-20.

If everyone at the table had a 20-40 over-button, then the game is 20-40 (with a 10-20 blind structure), until someone sits down to play without an over button.

Anyone who wants an over button just asks the dealer for one.

I played in a game last year that was 4-8 with 20-40 over buttons!

The game I have been playing in at Arizona Charlie's is 4-8 with pot-limit overs. I've also played 4-8 with no-limit overs (not at Charlie's, btw) but have not seen that game in about a six months.

Mason has an essay on "Playing The Overs" on page 113 of POKER ESSAYS II, which is a great book, BTW.

Hope I've been of some help.

Best of Luck

Greatest PL games around.....Hollywood in Shreveport/Bossier City, La. It's been awhile, but I think they are $25/$50 blind. And...down in Kinder, La. at The Grand Casino Coushatta 1/2 and 1/2 $5-$10 blind HE and $10/$20 blind Omaha Hi. Super action games both with some of the greatest PL players in the world sitting in and also a good helping of fish.

At Foxwoods, you always get PLH going during the two major tourneys. Blinds are 5,5 and sometimes 5,10 or even 10,20. We also get a 5,5 blind PLH game on some of the Tuesday nights, after enough people bust out of the NLH tourney, and also this game goes sometimes on Saturday afternoons into the evening.
