View Full Version : Chip-lead ITM + Flopped Flush = Bad Play?

(Apologies -- hand converter seems down right now...)

So I make it ITM on a 10+1 Party SNG with the chip lead. I flop a flush with a possible draw to a straight flush. I push immediately despite the three suited cards on the board. The result wasn't pretty and left me crippled. I stuck around and rallied for a while, but still finished third.

So did I make a correct play, or was I too reckless with the chip lead with the blind still pretty low? Appeciate any feedback...

I think you flop a flush 5% of the time. right idea, bad results. Pushing here is great because you are taking villians with a higher /images/graemlins/club.gif draw off of their hand.

On the flop, it looks to me like he had a 1 in 3 shot to hit his flush, and even then, one that could be beat by the King or Ace-high flush.

I think I'd probably have to play this the same way again.

min raising this preflop is so horrible.

if you're going to raise, make it 600

I was gonna post the exact same thing. By raising to 400, you give the BB 3-1 odds to call you in position. Not a good idea. I either raise to 600 or complete and hope to flop a flush. (oops)
