BB (t73790)
UTG (t56816)
UTG+1 (t13539)

Preflop: Hero is SB with T/images/graemlins/spade.gif, K/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
5 folds, Button raises to t4000, Hero calls t3000, BB raises to t12000, Button calls t8000, Hero Call or fold?

Button is fairly new at the table & BB pretty tight, not wild at all.

You need to call 8K more to win 24K+anties. With stacks this deep, I call and see a flop. You have huge implied odds.

I would fold here against a tight opponent.

I'm folding w/o a 2nd thought.. Looks like BB has a monster, re-raising a raise + a caller.

your reverse implied odds are really bad here. if you call the pot will be so big you might get committed with a second best hand... best just to move on.

I don't like the re-raise PF. It's not likely that he will lay down to the re-raise with legitimate raising cards. Plus, you've let him see all five cards. I think the spot to reraise w/b post flop IMO

Yuck, yuck, yuck.

BB definitely has a huge hand. Almost all huge hands are dominating you. I can see calling and hoping for a huge flop, but I fold.

A few things to consider:

First, when it's folded to the Button and he miniraises, this usually indicates real strength or real weakness. I like to default to the conclusion of real weakness and find out where I stand. Thus, I'm usually inclined to reraise in this spot. You have a hand thay may be best or only a slight dog, but it will be difficult to play it out of position unless you flop a real monster. The reraise is also a nice cheap way to find out exactly where you are, may cause the Button to fold a slightly better hand (like 55, or even KJo) and mostly shuts out the BB who could easily fold a better hand after a raise and reraise.

Second, once you flat call and the BB reraise, you're getting about 3:1 on your call to see a flop. However, I think you really need to flop to this hand pretty nicely in order to feel comfortable. That, combined with the fact that the BB is the only other big stack and he's tight would usually lead me to a fold even with the good pot odds. When I'm in such a great chip position, I'll usually dump marginal hands like KTs after the other big stack reraises. It's so unlikely that he is bluffing and you could easily be dominated. The flush possibilities are not strong enough to dictate a call with only 3:1 odds.
