View Full Version : Passive players at the 20's

I recently started playing the $20+2's on PP and have had the following situation occur suprisingly regularly.
Lv5, I have ~5 bb and go allin from early position. Someone in mid to late position (not a blind) calls for 1/2-2/3 of their stack with AT or 88 or something in that range. I'm curious if this is as common as it's been for me so far.

You need to discuss sample size before this post generates anything but flames. You should consider evaluating your pre-bubble play if you find yourself often with < ~10bb.

Yeah I see it a lot. Had some donk decide to minraise UTG and then call my all-in from the bb (I had him hugely covered.. and yet UTG+1 couldn't cover the blind) with his shiny AJo. I had 99. MHING as he hit two aces. He had 1800 odd, didn't really damage me too much, I still got 2nd, but was one of the worst calls I've ever seen.

Oh god, I think I've seen much worse. QJ is often considered the nuts as well as ridiculous calls with 22, A3, 98s. Seems almost regular to me.

I play 20s and this happens all the time despite his sample size.

Your Opponents Are Morans!

Do not forget this.

Maulik, your response makes no sense. The whole point of my post was that I did NOT have a large sample size and was asking people who DID, if this was common behavior.

Well, yea, I kinda figured they were morons. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif I'm just trying to figure out what kind of morons they are. So, it sounds like the players I've seen are pretty typical. Thanks for the info.
