View Full Version : Should I play tonight: A Poll

After several months of running badly (which included at least 6 weeks of playing badly), things are finally looking up. I've been playing much better these last two weeks, and have made up the losses of earlier this month. So I lost 100BB in May and 200BB in June (after winning 1200BB in the previous 3 months), and am now up 3, count 'em 3 BB.
So, with one night left in the month, do I play tonight?

Easy "Don't play". If you have to ask . . . don't play. Very unlikely it'd be your A-game.
By the way, ever take your buddy up on that bet you posted in OOT?

Signing a contract with him tomorrow. I feel thinner already. I'll keep you posted.

I'm going to disagree with Grisgra and say that you should play. It seems as if you have gotten over your downswing and are ready to go. Fire away.

I said option #2 because I wish I hadn't played yesterday afternoon after yesterday morning's session. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Decided that avoiding poker to book a win was results-oriented. Gave a lot of thought to whether I could play well or not. Decided to give it a go, and watch for tilt. Played 920 hands of 3/6-SH and 5/10-SH. Was down $400+ at one point, but finished the night up precisely $2. Whoo-hoo!
don't spend it all in one place

I would consider myself weak if I dont play for a reason like that. It just feels wrong so if there is no other reason not to play, I d go for it.

Very well put.
Glad you are strong enough to take the "it's all one session" policy (I don't track results by any time period, so this problem does not arise).
