$3/$6 no limit 6 max.
Hero($1400) dealt J /images/graemlins/spade.gif9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif in the big blind.
Cutoff raises to $14, SB calls as does hero. Both players have me covered.

Flop:7 /images/graemlins/spade.gif6 /images/graemlins/club.gif8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif

SB checks, I check. Cutoff bets $40. SB calls $40. I CR raise to $250 straight hoping to take it down right there.(Thoughts)

SB calls $250 making the pot ~$600. Cutoof folds.

Turn:6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif SB checks.

What is your play with no reads on the player?

Check and hope you aren't already drawing dead to the T/images/graemlins/spade.gif.

hero can't be drawing dead even if villain has Ts

Uh, what? How can Hero not be drawing dead with a paired board. If Villain has FH, what else can Hero catch to win?

i agree with leading into the PFR, i don't like the checkraise cause it gets a gross amount into the pot with a lot of money left behind in your stack and a turn to act on. a lead gives you more information on both CO and SB hands, and gives you a better idea of how to proceed on later streets.

I didn't say Villain had the T/images/graemlins/spade.gif. I said Hero should check behind and hope he's not drawing dead to the T/images/graemlins/spade.gif. Meaning he should hope Villain didn't just make a FH and only a SF will save him.

How would you proceed if raised big on the flop? If you call raise and the turn blanks now what?

Pushy pushy, move your tushy. As for your second question, don't call.

as yeti so gayly pointed out, you need to lead this flop so you can possibly 3 bet push.

as is, i check the turn and reevaluate.

Call the $40 on the flop. They're giving you fantastic odds to draw out.

Either that or lead flop, get raised and then shove it all in when it gets back to you.

The flop CR left you in a pickle, especially with the turn pairing the board.

As played, you have to check the turn and hope to make something on the river. And then you have to be careful not to lose too much when you river a 2nd best hand.
