i don't think a stop and go would be out of the question here

Thats what I did but he called me with king high when an ace flopped /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Let's say you know your opponent will call your stop'n go. Is calling and pushing if I hit the flop and folding otherwise a good strategy ?

I think the best play is to just fold preflop. You wouldn't want to call an all-in with 6BB against that range and I think you should push here or on the flop if you don't fold. I don't like calling the miniraise just to see if you hit; your implied odds aren't good enough here.

If you do call the miniraise and hit, I'd like (against most opponents) to check/call to induce a bluff rather than push yourself by the way.

I would fold and push the next hand regardless
