Someone please explain "bottle service" to me

Apparently this is something you get at a club, in the VIP area. I have no idea what it is, as I don't really go clubbing. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

So what is it? (and I hope it has nothing to do with my pooper!)

If I'm going out with enough people (depending on the number of bottles required for a table) and we're all going to get drunk it is +++EV to get bottle service.

2 bottles of Stoli ~$500 where I go. 10 people is $50 each. If a mixed drink is $10 (which is normal at nice clubs) then you are coming out way ahead if you get bottle service. Last time I did it we split a bottle of Johnny Walker Black for $200 + $40 tip between 5 people (they [censored] up and gave away our table so half our party left so they only made us get 1 bottle when they finally got us a table) So $55 for a fourth of a 1.75L bottle of JW Black. For $55 in mixed drinks I would have been able to get 5 watered down drinks and been slightly buzzed. Instead I had about 8 or 9 strong ass drinks.

Plus you get to look cool in VIP /images/graemlins/wink.gif If you come alone it won't help you get laid but if it's a group of 5 guys and 5 girls or something it sure will.
